"THIS SPACE MAY BE USED FOR COMMUNICATION" on the left-hand side, and
"THE ADDRESS ONLY TO BE WRITTEN HERE" on the right-hand side. This would appear to be the earliest type of back and is believed to be pre 1920.
For the same card with a, presumably, later back, see (08-01) which is with a 'logo' back.
The picture is printed by an unusual method which results in the finished picture resembling a pencilled sketch.
