Marfleet's CoachesRegistration No. JIL2426 JIL2426

BTL 485X was first registered on the 4th November 1981 and was sold to Wing, Sleaford, (Fleet No. 56) in March 1982 when the company was wound up following the untimely death of Stan Marfleet. The vehicle was then sold to Pennine, Gargrave, on the 4th January 1984, was re-registered JIL2426 in March 1994 and, as of the 27th March 2001 when these photographs were taken at the Pennine Depot, is still in service with that company. Seatbelts have been fitted to all seats except the back row where the additional costs for the strengthening required proved to be prohibitive.

Grateful thanks to Pennine Motor Services, Gargrave, for their unreserved assistance during an unplanned visit to the depot on the 27th March, 2001, and to David Farrier (Bus & Coach photos by mail order) for information relating to this and to other Marfleet's Coaches fleet vehicles in an e-mail dated the 7th March, 2001.
